BTP Unsung Red Wing of the Game
Tomorrow, you'll read about how the Wings' top line of Datsuyk, Zetterberg, and Holmstrom combined for 3 goals and 5 assists to power the Detroit victory.
What you won't read about is how the Dominator gave up a soft goal in the first, then got really, really angry. And San Jose won't like Dominik Hasek when he's angry.
Once the Wings built a lead, the game got pretty wide open. But Hasek stood up to every Sharks challenge, keeping the score 4-1 and denying any chance for San Jose to get back into the game.
I love watching Hasek play goal, because he's so emotional about it. When he gives up a bad goal, he blames no one but himself and comes out ready to put the plywood up the rest of the night.
It was a huge bonus today, and it's a big reason why the Wings can close this series out Monday night.
7 down. 9 to go.
